While squatting is fun, and when it’s done right it’s effective. We need to make sure we show our hamstrings some love. One move I’ve been incorporating into my programming is hamstring curls. You don’t need a band, or any weight, just a towel and a smooth floor. Do 4-5 sets of 15-20 and you’ll feel your hamstrings turn on. Making sure your body is balanced is the easiest way to avoid nagging injuries and live an active lifestyle. It’s a lesson that’s easy to learn, but hard to enforce! last couple of weeks I heard several times that I’m so privileged to have my home gym and all that equipment at this moment. but if you and your family are healthy right now, and you are even able to squeeze in a little workout in whatever way that would be, have the time to break out a sweat a few times a week or to be active throughout the day in order to contribute to your health, know that YOU are equally ‘privileged’ not a lot of us will like the current training situation we are in, to work out alone at home, far from our normal routine. me neither! and even though you have a lot or no equipment at all, try to make the best of it and please be grateful for what you CAN do right now. there are people with far more problems than this get creative, move as much as you can doing things you really like to do, or just be a bit more persevering on some days and get the job done, learn new skills, improve your current skills, try out new things, enjoy the sun, benefit from all the available online content and even more inspiring community created around it right now,... don’t just quit or put everything on a break at the first sign of hardship 😘

Is this you? It sure as hell is me sometimes. This shift to online-everything can be tough if you're not technologically proficient or just are not used to having to make your own schedule. I for one realize how much school dictated my pace for work and now that it's gone I find myself struggling at times to do what I need to get done. . . However, I've been working on some tips to really get myself back on my A-game, and the best part is? It's pretty simple. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 1) Schedule your day. On your phone, in a journal, however you need to set it up so you do something to dedicate time to work and projects. 2) If possible, get your phone out of the picture. Turn it upside down, put it in a different room, powered down. Phones can be a huge distraction. 3) Timers are your friends. I used to grind out hours at a time but really only got about half an hour of work done at a time. I switched things up, setting a 20 minute "on" timer and a 5-10 minute "off" timer. Now I get way more done without exhausting myself mentally. 4) Visualize your work. Think about what it looks like for you to be working at your best, accomplishing your tasks and overall killing it. . . This has helped me a ton, and I hope it will for you. So the day this was released I jumped the gun before looking further into details... ended up doing 96 burpees in 7:00 over a 6” piece of tape, NOT a 6” space made by two pieces of tape! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So.... I came back this morning and did it the right way! Two pieces of tape that have a 6” separation and got 97 reps! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Time to take a little break and by break I mean another ridiculous core destroyer by @karipearcecrossfit and then tackle workout number 2!
