. Is my TBR insanely big? Yes. Do I have 3 other books started? Yes. Did I still read the graphic novel of To Kill a Mockingbird in the span of a day? Yes. 😬 • • • I’m not going to comment upon the actual plot of the novel because it’s already common knowledge how amazing it is. Instead I’ll say this: the artwork in this book is just as fabulous as the original story. An author’s note at the ends touches upon the fact that some things were edited for the sake of keeping the novel to its basic message about race, justice, and society and I think it hits its mark perfectly. Overall, if you love the original novel, I HIGHLY recommend you check out this edition! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 • • • Also I just saw that @bookriot says it’s Social Justice Literature Day so what better day to read this book than today! • • • #theoverflowingbookshelf   #tokillamockingbird #harperlee #graphicnovel #fredfordham #atticusfinch #scoutfinch #socialjusticeliteratureday #booksharks #bookclubVIP #books   #booknerd #literature   #bookclub   #bookhoarder #bookrecommendation   #reading #bookreviews #bookblog   #booklover #bookstagram   #read   #review #bookreviewsbyabooklover #happyreading   #bookobsessed   #novels

The mind is not a book, to be opened at will and examined at leisure. Thoughts are not etched on the inside of skulls, to be perused by an invader. The mind is a complex and many-layered thing. J.K. I have or had a problem. Called it a misfeature. I guess all humans have faced In days of their miniature. Some for few days, few for no days. And like me, Some got no end days. Stammering, stuttering, sound disorder, was used to be called. But, once you grow up 'Mispronunciation' term oust these all. I asked them once, "Where is sea?" They glared, asked if I meant "Where is she?" To reciprocate not abnormally, I asked again. "Where in shitty?" They corrected, said "In city, not shitty." I nodded, I had to. And went on rehearsing those words, like a nursery kid. They smiled on me, I on myself. It was once an election season. I was sitting on the sofa, Indulged in Dining room conversation. T.V. in front bombarded with poll results, When I asked my cousin if he boted last year. Since, he has been away from hometown for years. He said, "Didn't bot, but voted last year." Funny goes there, Here, embarrassment sighed. When comes to nicknames, My scenario is different. My friends say, I carry their names wrong. So instead, they give nicknames to themselves Which don't carry letters which make them and me feel shy anymore. Even today, when I go to a utensils' store. Before asking for a Jug, I mutter inside my mouth a lot. Only not to make myself, Call it Zug. Girlfriend In A Coma by Douglas Coupland - book 18 of 2020, and one of my favourite of all time. (Accompany your reading of this apocalyptic novel with @bastilledan apocalyptic album Doom Days.) This book revolves around Richard, Karen, and their group of teen friends at the end of the '70s when Karen goes into a coma. The rest od the gang are followed for 17 years, until one morning Karen awakens. And predicts the end of the world. Girlfriend In A Coma is insane magic, nobody writes an apocalypse like @douglascoupland, and nobody makes you think like him either. Despite the '90s setting for the end of the world, Coupland's vision could easily transfer to today. My review kind of sucks but just read this book please.

🌼Music🌼 "If you are speaking of music...it is of all subjects my delight." Pride and Prejudice 🌼Jane Austen . 🌼Do you know any songs or pieces from my list? What is you favourite music genre? 🌼I wrote down some pieces and songs I'm really enjoying at the moment. Swipe right to check out the whole list. 🌼I'm really thankful that my mother introduced me to classical music from a very young age. I never understood why we had to go to classical concerts (explicitly for kid's entertainment). We learned about different classical composers through audio plays for children and played classical music on the piano. 🌼Now, I am immensely grateful for the opportunity and guidance I received in music. Classical music feels like home to me now because I was raised to appreciate it. 🌼Another genre of music I love is musical theatre. Some of my favourites include Les Misérables, the hunchback of Notre Dame or Oklahoma. 🌼

This book introduces us to the wonderful siblings - Maeve and Danny, and how they rebuild their lives after their step mother throws them out of the house - The Dutch House. This heartbreaking fairytale, spanning across five decades, is a story of love, loss, resilience and forgiveness. The Dutch House is in the backdrop of the story throughout, almost like a character in the book. It represents the horrors of their past and hopes for their future. It hits you in the gut and makes you feel warm - all at once. Oh, also the Audiobook narration by Tom Hanks is top class!

Brb I’m SOBBING at this ending 😭. Like wow, just wow. I was worried this book would be overhyped as so many have been of late, but it is worth every 5 star review it’s gotten. This book is a poetic ode to outsiders and loners who find themselves a home in another. We follow Lazlo, an orphan who grew up in a harsh monastery and then as an overlooked librarian with big dreams, and Sarai, a godspawn in hiding from a world that would never accept her kind. While Lazlo is a dreamer, Sarai is a goddess of dreams. Every night she visits the world she can’t be a part of, hidden from the world with four other members of their makeshift family. Raised by ghosts due to a bloody rebellion of humans against evil gods (aka their parents) they must stay out of sight or else face the humans who would want to finish the job they started. Lazlo wants adventure and to know the impossible. When given the chance to travel to Weep, the world he’s always longed to know, he jumps at the chance and travels to this hidden world. He learns more about himself than he ever thought he would, and allegiances are tested on all sides. Sarai and Lazlo meet in a dreamscape, and for the first time in her life she is SEEN. But can Lazlo make a world they can be together in? The writing of this book is truly beautiful. The author did an amazing job with everything about this. I don’t get emotional reading books very often, but I was literally crying by the end of this. I can’t wait to get the second book and see where this goes. I would recommend this to anyone who likes tales of Atlantis, dreamscapes, Magic, gods and goddesses, mystery, and the idea of perfect soul mates. Book: Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor 🌟: 5/5

_____________________________________________________________ #bookstagram #livrestagram #livres #books #poesie #poetry #dikt #poesiefrançaise #litterature #literature #litteratur #booklovers #primolevi #roman #witness #writersofinstagram #ecrivain #bibliophile #holocaust #testimony #temoignage #traduction #translation
