20 minutes of HIIT today was all I needed to feel active and completely out of breath! My favorite fitness coach @natacha.oceane recently posted this workout so you can find it on her insta 🎉 Do you love/hate HIIT? I find that it challenges me differently than anything else and helps my steady rate cardio. ☀️With all that is changing and out of our control today, this quote could not have come at a better time. Most of use have had to change our routines, become adaptable and evolve in a short amount of time. This has undoubtedly created some discomfort and challenged us in new ways that we could not have prepared for. As we navigate this sea of uncertainty, what is certain is your ability to control how you respond. All of our situations are different and I will not pretend that I understand all of them l, but I will say that I encourage everyone to make time for movement. 🌟When we stop moving, not only is our movement impacted but also how we feel. 🌟Movement makes us feel good, has the potential to get us out of a fight or flight response and give our bodies the chance to mitigate stress and transition into a more rest and relax state. 🌟That movement can take many forms! For some it is doing a plank challenge while for others it is the physical challenge of cleaning the baseboards and scrubbing out shirt stains. 🌟As everyone flocks to social media, both to post/influence as well as searching for exercise inspiration, I encourage people to not let themselves get in the way of their own progress. 🌟Practice the mentality of accepting and embracing where you are rather than falling into the “compare and despair” trap of social media. 🌟Stand up, stretch your arms out wide, and take a deep breath. Lorsque j'ai découvert cette autre relation que l'on pouvait avoir avec l'entraînement physique, le fait de s'attarder davantage à la façon dont bouge le corps en place de simplement l'exercer, la question de la mobilité est régulièrement revenue. Cette fameuse souplesse utilisable, active. Mobilité développée récemment car, guidé par de vieux préceptes d'étirements passifs en tout genre, je n'ai jamais constaté de réels progrès. Ce que j'en ai retenu, c'est qu'il faut traiter la mobilité comme le reste pour progresser. Il ne s'agit pas seulement d'imiter un mouvement, une position, mais d'intégrer l'intention qui doit se manifester en interne. De cette position en straddle, c'est entre autre le passage de la contraction des adducteurs à celle des abducteurs qui va permettre de créer l'adaptation et d'accéder au fur et à mesure à une plus grande amplitude. Couplé à d'autres mouvements et une bonne dose de patience, le sol se rapprochera. Premier / dernier set, et plus ou moins trois mois d'écart entre les deux straddle. Suffering from back pain? Here are my 5 minutes of yoga this morning to relax my back and strengthen my back muscles. It might inspire you. I may not have been lucky enough to find good physiotherapists, but everyone I've seen for my back pain hasn't been able to do anything to relieve me of this horrible pain. The x-rays and MRIs I had did not reveal anything profoundly abnormal about my back. But a few minutes of stretching and muscle strengthening inspired by yoga in the morning and/or evening relieves my pain on a daily basis. Since we are near the end of the repertoire, we are obviously encountering much more advanced exercises. They are building off each other and taking learned skills, strength and flexibility developed from other exercises and potentially tying them together. If you can do roll over, maybe you can do bicycle or scissors. Maybe jackknife. And if ALL THAT is going well, maybe you can work out of an inversion shape with no support from your arms! This requires major ab work and an intense amount of balance and control. Whoa. It’s almost like it’s called control balance. #marchmatness2020 #controlbalance

Be gentle with yourself, your mind, and your body at this time. I haven't wanted to dance for almost 2 weeks now. Although I've had more free time than almost any other period of my life, the anxiety and uncertainty of this period has crippled my creativity, my passion, and my desire to even move my body. Today this song by @djartleaveamessage inspired me and I listened to what my body needed. Often when I need to reconnect to myself, it is through letting my body dance. Not dancing for a reason or a style or a demo or a specific challenge, but truly just letting my body flow and move, exploring the spaces I havent touched in awhile, and letting the music take over. If you need to let your body flow and feel inspired - do it. If you need to stay curled up - do it. If you're feeling motivated to practice and do demo videos - do it. But don't let what anyone else is doing or saying make you feel bad about where you're at right now in this craziness.
